Q: How long does it take to build a website with Cimplicity?

A: Since Cimplicity is a customized solution there is no standard timeframe; each project is unique in terms of objectives and there are multiple variables to consider such as applications, pages, user requirements, etc. The average project with Cimplicity can be completed in 4-6 weeks.

Q: If I already have a website, can Cimplicity be implemented to manage it?

A: Yes, we are able to seamlessly integrate Cimplicity into your current site. Depending on the complexity of the site this process typically takes 4 weeks.

Q: What are web applications? Why would I need them for my site?

A: Web applications are added features to the Cimplicity platform. A web application goes beyond the pages and offers you the benefit to have multiple tasks completed with very little effort for the administrator of the site. For example: If you regularly post press releases to your site, it makes sense to have an application to manage that process. The application allows you to quickly add new press releases by filling out fields with information; based on that information, the system will produce the pages needed, as well as modify the navigation and links across the site automatically. Without the application, the administrator would be required to create a page for the press release, then add it to the list of press releases and/or navigation and create links around the site where needed. The application makes this process quick and seamless without having to worry about linking, human error or formatting.

Q: How much does Cimplicity cost?

A: Since every project is unique, we have no standard cost. Costs are dependent on the complexity, size and functionality required for the site. The cost will vary based on your needs. Please Contact Us and we would be happy to provide a no-cost consultation for your project.

Q: Is it possible to add an application to the site in the future?

A: Yes, Cimplicity is a dynamic platform and is built for growth. Once the framework of the system is in place we are able to adapt it to your future needs.

Q: Is there support or training for the software?

A: Yes, we have personalized online training classes for our clients that allow one-on-one training on your Cimplicity platform. Additional support is provided by our staff developers. We also offer web maintenance plans for those clients that are looking for extra help in maintaining and updating their site. Those clients are assigned a developer which allows them to submit a ticket for an edit request. All requests are answered within 24 hours.

Q: How often is the software updated?

A: Daily! Our software developers never stop pushing out updates to the program. They understand that technology never stops moving forward and the only way for a cms to keep up is to continually improve and update the software to engage with the ever-changing interactive landscape.

Q: What is a SAAS Model and how does that benefit me?

A: A SAAS model, or Software as a Service, is a hosted software solution where our teams are responsible for the creation, updating, and maintenance of the software. The SaaS model adds efficiency and cost savings for our clients. Clients save time and money because they do not have to install or maintain any programs, hire staff or use existing staff to maintain the software, or invest in any new hardware.

Q: Cimplicity is a proprietary system, can other developers understand the code?

A: Of course. We built this software with the idea that any developer who can work on open-source products would be able to understand and manipulate Cimplicity’s code should the need arise. We understand that our platform may need to be hosted and integrated with an organization’s internal systems. That would be impossible if we wrote code that other developers could not understand. We built Cimplicity to create a better CMS product for both developers and administrators alike.

Q: What kind of platform does Cimplicity run on?

A: Cimplicity is built utilizing the PHP scripting language and is hosted with Rackspace on their state-of-the-art server environment. We use PHP because it is a light, and fast responding language which helps decrease load times, improve usability and ultimately keeps your users happy.

Q: Can Cimplicity manage my mobile web assets as well as my main site?

A: The beauty of Cimplicity is that we can tell it to do whatever we want. Many of our clients with dedicated mobile sites use the same administration to update both the mobile and full-site version of their web assets. Efficiency is our overall goal, and the customizable framework of the software allows us to tailor the administration to every organization’s needs.
